Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

1. Provider and Scope

These Terms of Use apply to the use of Kavelu, a learning app for children in grades 1 to 4. The provider is:

Milad Heidari / Kavelu, c/o IP-Management #10534, Ludwig-Erhard-Strasse 18, 20459 Hamburg, Germany

2. Use by Parents and Children

Accounts are created by parents or legal guardians. Children use Kavelu through child profiles created by their parents. Children should not enter full names, addresses, or other sensitive information in the app.

3. Scope of Services and Development

Kavelu is continuously developed. Features and content may be added, improved, or adjusted where this is reasonable for users and the contractually agreed core benefit of the app is preserved. Kavelu can support learning processes, but it does not replace school, teachers, or individual educational or therapeutic advice.

Price changes for existing subscriptions will be announced by email at least six weeks before they take effect. In the event of a price increase, you have a special right to cancel as of the date the increase takes effect.

4. Learning Content and Progress

Kavelu provides learning tasks, theory units, diagnostics, and reward elements. No specific learning success is guaranteed. Parents remain responsible for accompanying their child's use and for involving appropriate school or specialist support in case of larger learning difficulties.

5. Gold, Rewards, and In-App Logic

Virtual rewards such as XP, Gold, streaks, skins, or achievements are used only for motivation within Kavelu. Gold is earned through learning and cannot be purchased. Virtual rewards have no cash value and cannot be paid out.

6. Paid Offers

Kavelu offers a free Free plan (access to math for one child profile) and paid subscriptions: Starter EUR 4.99 per month, Pro EUR 9.99 per month, and Family EUR 14.99 per month. Annual subscriptions are also available: Starter EUR 49.99 per year, Pro EUR 99.99 per year, and Family EUR 149.99 per year. The price shown directly before completing checkout is decisive.

Paid subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial; users invited through the referral program receive a 30-day trial. Starting the trial requires adding a payment method. No charge is made before the end of the trial. If the subscription is not cancelled before the end of the trial, the paid billing period begins afterward.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Depending on availability, Stripe may offer card payment, Link, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or other payment methods.

7. Term and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically for the selected period: monthly subscriptions for another month and annual subscriptions for another year, unless cancelled beforehand. Cancellation is possible at any time for the end of the current billing period and immediately stops automatic renewal. Access remains active until the end of the billing period that has already been paid.

Cancellation is possible online through subscription management in the parent area and through the cancel subscription page.

8. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers

Consumers have the right to withdraw their contractual declaration within 14 days from conclusion of the contract without giving any reason. Timely dispatch of the withdrawal is sufficient to meet the deadline. The withdrawal can be declared informally, for example by email to the address stated in the Legal Notice. You may also use the sample withdrawal form below; its use is not mandatory.

The right of withdrawal expires early if you have expressly agreed that we begin performing the digital service before the end of the withdrawal period and you have confirmed your knowledge that, by giving this consent, you lose your right of withdrawal once performance begins (Section 356(5) BGB).

Note: During the free trial (14 days, or 30 days for referred users), no payment is made anyway; the first charge occurs only after the trial ends.

Sample Withdrawal Form

If you want to withdraw from the contract, please complete this form and send it back:

9. AI Features

Kavelu may use optional AI features, for example for explanations or task help. AI outputs can be incorrect and must be checked for important decisions. Users may not enter children's personal data in free AI input fields.

10. Prohibited Use

  • Abuse or circumvention of security or rate-limit systems
  • Automated access, scraping, or load testing without consent
  • Sharing login details with unauthorized third parties
  • Entering unlawful, offensive, or third-party personal data

11. Availability and Changes

Kavelu is operated with care. However, uninterrupted or error-free availability at all times cannot be guaranteed, for example during maintenance or disruptions outside our control. We may change, restrict, or remove features where this is necessary for security, quality, product development, or legal requirements.

12. Liability

Statutory liability rules apply. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations and limited to the typically foreseeable damage. Liability for injury to life, body, or health remains unaffected.

13. Consumer Dispute Resolution

We are neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
